 Stopmotion Animation

- the movement of objects in front of the camera

- the movement of people in front of the camera

- the movement of the camera through space

- the combination of any of these possibilities



FPS = Frames Per Second
Traditional Film is 24 FPS
Traditional Animation is 12 FPS* (the Nightmare Before Christmas was shot at 24 FPS)
Digital Film is traditionally 30 FPS
Modern Digital Film cameras can capture 60-120 FPS
Digital Animation can be from 8 FPS to 30 FPS
